Innovations in Biodisk-Technology:

The biocontactor technology has been used in wastewater treatment successfully since more than a hundred years. The special advantage of the bio-contactor is the fixing of the biomass on solid surfaces for biological growth which generally rotate half submerged in the wastewater. This allows high sludge ages to be reached, so that the biomass can adapt to specific wastewater conditions and lead to a remarkable reduction of the excess sludge production.

System S&P® also uses this potential for the treatment of special wastewaters. Scientific research shows the special treatment efficiency of the System S&P® technology. Even difficult wastewaters loaded with high polluting potential, such as high nitrogen contents, difficult biodegradable organic substances, or high mineral contents can be treated with high efficiency by the specially adapted biomass.

Due to this increased ability of adaptation from the biomass on the rotating immersion disks many other possibilities for applications in wastewater treatment are possible. These possibilities have been successfully achieved in cooperation with worldwide leading institutes. Based on the latest perceptions System S&P® is in the position to develop and optimize individual treatment technologies for specific wastewater compositions.
